MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island Region emitted ash on Saturday morning, generating plumes that rose 800 meters above the crater, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

As captured by its IP camera at Kanlaon Volcano Observatory-Canlaon City, Phivolcs said the ash emission occurred at 5:53 a.m.
