The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old suspect and recovered a stolen cow valued at N1.5 million following a reported case of house trespass and theft in Gadau District of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.

According to him, the case was reported to the Gadau Divisional Police Headquarters on June 12, 2026, by a 50-year-old resident of Mai Yashi Village in Gadau District.

Habib said the complainant informed the police that unknown persons had unlawfully entered his residence and stolen a cow worth N1.5 million.

“The report was received at Gadau Division on 12th June 2026 from a 50-year-old male complainant who resides in Mai Yashi Village, Gadau District. He reported that unknown hoodlums had trespassed into his house and stolen one cow valued at One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira only (N1,500,000.00),” the statement read.
