A civil society, the Prayer and Support for the Nigerian armed forces and other security agencies stated this on Monday, while also expressing sorrow over the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, a former Director of Defence Information, who reportedly died while in the custody of his abductors in Katsina State.
In a statement signed by its Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile, the organisation described the late military officer's death as tragic and called for renewed efforts to tackle insecurity, banditry, kidnapping and terrorism across Nigeria.
