The ruling conservative New Democracy party maintains a 9.1 percentage-point lead over former prime minister Alexis Tsipras’ newly formed Greek Left Alliance (ELAS), according to an Alco poll conducted for Alpha TV.

In vote intention, New Democracy records 23.3%, followed by ELAS at 14.2%, while PASOK, now in third place after being overtaken by ELAS following its launch, stands at 10.3%.

Former railway safety activist Maria Karystianou, who recently entered politics with her conservative-leaning Hope for Democracy party, polls at 8.1%.

She is followed by far-right Greek Solution (6.6%), the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) at 6.2%, and the left-wing Course of Freedom at 3.6%. The share of undecided voters stands at 16%.

As for public assessment of government performance, 55% say they are “not at all satisfied”, while 22% are “a little satisfied” and another 22% “very or quite satisfied.”
