Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, held a telephone conversation on Monday to discuss the latest developments surrounding the U.S.-Iran agreement and the broader regional landscape.

The Tasnim News Agency, an outlet close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported that Araghchi briefed his Saudi counterpart on the clauses and final updates regarding the newly minted “Islamabad Memorandum.” According to the report, Iran’s top diplomat emphasized Washington’s responsibility in fulfilling its obligations under the pact, while simultaneously underscoring the absolute necessity of a total cessation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Araghchi explicitly expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s contributions to the diplomatic process that paved the way for the agreement, commending Riyadh’s efforts to bring an end to the active conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. He further called for sustained regional cooperation to preserve long-term stability and security.
