In today’s job market, where competition is intense and AI tools are becoming part of everyday work, many job seekers are rethinking how they present themselves to employers. Traditional resumes are no longer the only entry point, and in some cases, real-world projects are starting to carry more weight than degrees or keyword-heavy CVs. Amid this, in an Instagram video, Ritu Maurya has claimed that she moved from a Rs 10 LPA role to an Rs 80 LPA remote job within a year by using an AI-based strategy.Maurya explained her approach for the Rs 70 lakh salary jump in a short video, describing how she positioned herself differently in a crowded hiring space.Moving away from resume-heavy applicationsShe pointed out that many candidates still depend heavily on polishing resumes, but according to her, that approach does not create enough impact on its own. She said, "It's not your resume because adding some magical words and expecting to get an interview is the laziest thing you can do to get a job. Instead, this is what I do."Her argument is fairly simple: employers are more likely to respond to candidates who can already show proof of work rather than just claims on paper.Using AI to build real projectsInstead of waiting for interviews, Maurya says she focuses on building projects that match what companies are actually looking for. Her process begins by selecting a company and going through its job description. She explained, "Just go to a company of your choice, pick any job description and paste it into ChargeGPT with this prompt. You will get some ideas on what projects to build. Now pick any idea that you like, paste it into Emergent.sh and say, build it for me. Now multiple agents will start working in the background to build that project for you."The idea, as she describes it, is to use AI tools to quickly turn job requirements into working project ideas.Improving the project instead of stopping at first versionMaurya also stressed that the process does not end with a basic version of a project. She suggests refining it further by continuing to interact with the AI tool until the output feels complete and usable. In her words, "You don't have to do any coding, but I don't want you to stop at just first version. Keep chatting with it until you reach a version that you really like. Be it adding more features, be it, you know, changing the front end."This step, she says, helps turn a simple idea into something that actually looks like a real product.Sharing work with companies and on LinkedInOnce the project is ready, Maurya recommends actively sharing it rather than keeping it private. She suggests sending it to company leadership and also posting it publicly on LinkedIn to increase visibility. She said, "Once you have the final version ready, send it to the relevant, you know, leadership at that company. Now also post about that project on LinkedIn, tagging that company so that not just the entire company sees about it, but the competitors of the company and the entire LinkedIn community sees that you are actually a builder and not just a job seeker."Maurya concluded her video by linking this strategy to her own career jump, saying, "And this is exactly how I went from 10 LPA to 80 LPA."
