Milk, bread, eggs — you name it, the prices make me wince. Bagging something for under £1 feels like a proper victory.‌When it comes to doing the food shop, I'd like to think of myself as pretty savvy with money. That's why you'll never catch me doing my weekly shop at Waitrose or M&S, despite both being within walking distance of my front door, reports the Express.Yet I'll hold my hands up and admit I have one weakness that completely undermines my efforts to be financially responsible. I simply can't help myself.‌Every time I set foot in an M&S, I make a beeline for the sweets and chocolate aisle, on the hunt for one of the finest supermarket chocolate bars around.I'm talking about the £7.50 chocolate bar known as The Big Daddy Bar. Under any other circumstances, I'd flat-out refuse and baulk at the idea of handing over £7.50 for a chocolate bar — but when it comes to this one, I have absolutely no willpower.‌For those who haven't yet encountered The Big Daddy, it's a generously sized milk chocolate bar combining smooth milk and rich dark chocolate, loaded with caramel, peanut butter and roasted peanuts — not entirely unlike a Snickers.It caused quite a stir and went viral when it first appeared on shelves, largely due to its jaw-dropping price tag.I held out for as long as I could, until a visit to my parents' house revealed that my mum had gone ahead and bought one. It turned out to be the best thing she'd ever done.‌From the very first bite, I was completely sold. This chocolate bar has become my ultimate weakness, and I'll go out of my way to get my hands on one.The chocolate is velvety but not overly sweet, complementing the caramel brilliantly, which thankfully doesn't cloy.The roasted peanuts bring a depth of flavour that cuts through the sweetness, making the whole experience feel like a match made in heaven.‌I'll come clean — I can polish off an entire bar in one sitting.
