Temperatures are predicted to soar in France from Wednesday, with forecasters saying that the heatwave could last until the end of the month.

France is predicted to see its second heatwave of the summer starting this week, with Météo France warning of temperatures up to 15C above seasonal norms.

After a hot weekend in the south of France, temperatures will start to climb across the country on Wednesday, forecast to reach 30C across northern France, then climbing to 35C on Thursday and 36C in Paris and the north on Friday.

The south-west will see hotter temperatures, reaching 40C around the Bordeaux area.
