Acting on specific tip-offs regarding a passenger in possession of illicit wildlife, SAPS members and conservation officials monitored the terminal for a suspect matching a provided description.
Upon identifying the suspect and intercepting him, a search of his bags revealed the arachnids individually wrapped in plastic bags and hidden between his clothes.
