The governor warned that political actors must not resort to violence in a bid to seize power in the state.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of sponsoring an assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II.

The governor warned that political actors must not resort to violence in a bid to seize power in the state.

Adeleke made the allegation in a post on X on Saturday evening, where he challenged the National Secretary of the APC, Ajibola Bashiru, an indigene of Osogbo, to publicly address the alleged attack on the revered traditional ruler and his palace.

“Osun APC has gone too far, and I am directly challenging the National Secretary of the APC, a son of Osogbo, to call his party members to order,” Governor Adeleke wrote.
