Soldiers from the Special Operations Center "А" of the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a successful strike on the Russian reserve oil depot Temp in the city of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, Russian Federation, located more than 700 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.
According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this on Facebook.
The Temp oil depot is part of the Russian Federal Agency for State Reserves and is used to store gasoline, diesel fuel, and other fuels and lubricants. From here, the Russian Federation supplies petroleum products to its northeastern regions and maintains strategic fuel reserves for the army’s needs.
Following the strikes by SSU drones, a massive fire broke out at the oil depot. At least three major fire outbreaks have been recorded in the tank farm, which comprises more than 60 storage tanks.
“Russian petroleum product depots, refineries, and logistics infrastructure remain legitimate targets for the SSU. It is these facilities that supply the aggressor’s army with resources and allow the Kremlin to continue the war against Ukraine,” the agency emphasized.
