Suspected terrorists have killed a local hunter, identified as Habeeb Adeniyi, popularly known as Adeyi, during an attack on Alabe community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The attack occurred in Alabe, the hometown of Rafiu Ajakaye, the immediate past Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Sources told SaharaReporters that the incident occurred after bandits invaded the area from nearby forests, while the deceased was later buried on Sunday according to Islamic rites.

The attack has created fears among residents of the local government area, which has witnessed increasing incursions by armed groups operating from forested areas bordering neighbouring states.
