Marcus Rashford is back in an England shirt, and this time he’s not wasting a single minute. The forward has been training privately at Inter Miami’s facilities in Florida since June 1, getting a head start on acclimatization before the rest of the squad assembled for World Cup preparations.

Rashford missed Euro 2024 entirely, spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Barcelona after a turbulent stretch at Manchester United, and now finds himself named to Thomas Tuchel’s 26-man World Cup roster. The tournament begins June 11.

Early arrival, serious intent

Rashford’s decision to arrive ahead of schedule in Miami came at Tuchel’s instruction. The logic is straightforward: adjusting to US time zones before competitive matches begin gives players a physical edge that late arrivals simply don’t get.

He’s been working at the same complex where Lionel Messi and David Beckham’s Inter Miami operate.
