Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have intercepted a suspected cross-border vehicle trafficking operation in Idiroko, arresting two men and recovering a stolen 28-seater Toyota Coaster bus allegedly headed for illegal sale in the Benin Republic.
The suspects — Seun Lawal, 46, and Ademola Oriyomi, 38 — were picked up by officers attached to the Idiroko Division following a credible and actionable intelligence received late on June 12, 2026.
This is contained in a statement issued by DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday.
Babaseyi explained that the intelligence indicated that the stolen vehicle, earlier declared missing in Lagos State, had been positioned around the Babaloke axis of Idiroko and was being prepared for movement across Nigeria’s international border under suspicious circumstances.
