Members of a Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) emergency crew are being hailed as heroes after helping to rescue a baby and several other people from a burning building in Port of Spain.In a statement, T&TEC praised the members of its Distribution North Emergency Crew for their swift response and courage."We are incredibly proud of the members of the Distribution North Emergency Crew who responded immediately to help rescue a baby and others from a burning building in Port of Spain. We commend them for their quick thinking and selfless action in the face of danger," the Commission said.The crew comprised engineer Crystal Moe, senior supervisors Odell Wickham and Gary Cyrille, crew supervisor Vidyanand Kanhai, Linesman A Robert Nicholls, Linesman B Akeem Demming, Linesman C Xavier Lake, and aerial lift driver Eric Williams.T&TEC said it will share photographs of the crew once they have returned to duty.Further details about the fire and the circumstances surrounding the rescue were not immediately available.
