Different mechanisms for calculating deferments will apply to various types of military contracts, taking into account combat experience and years of service.
According to Ukrinform, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.
“One of the principles of the new contract system is to fairly take into account the soldier’s past service,” Fedorov noted.
According to him, upon completion of their contract, servicemembers are guaranteed to receive a deferment. Its duration will depend not only on the type of contract but also on prior length of service and participation in combat operations.
Different calculation mechanisms for deferments will apply to different types of contracts, taking into account combat experience and years of service. A six-month deferment is guaranteed for everyone. Beyond that, it depends on what kind of contract you signed and how long you served in the military.
