Никита Шендеровский,

Now, anyone who has served a year under such a contract can be mobilized.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to adopt a bill that will grant deferrals for military personnel who have signed "Contract 18-24." This was announced by Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the Servant of the People faction and a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense.

"I think that during this plenary week, which begins tomorrow, we have every chance (to vote, – UNIAN) on a bill that has been in preparation for a long time. Young people who have served for one year will be entitled to 12 months of rest and will not be mobilized again into any component of the Defense Forces," Venislavsky said.

He recalled that according to the Law of Ukraine on Military Duty and Military Service, young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who are subject to conscription and are fit for military service have the status of conscripts. They are not subject to mobilization. However, if a person of this age has received military training, served in the armed forces, then he moves from the category of conscripts to the category of military personnel.
