The 13-4 scoreline on the first map of their upper quarterfinals best-of-3 series at Valorant Masters London was the kind of result that makes you check whether both teams were actually trying. They were. EDG just couldn’t find an answer.
How FUT turned Haven into a fortress
Haven was FUT Esports’ map pick, and the Turkish-international roster clearly came prepared. The map rotation for the series had FUT choosing Haven, EDward Gaming selecting Pearl, and Fracture remaining as the potential third map.
EDward Gaming, one of China’s most decorated esports organizations, entered Masters London with legitimate expectations. But pedigree doesn’t matter much when your opponent is executing at this level on a map they specifically targeted.
