Power engineers have restored external power supply to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NAEK “Energoatom” on Telegram.
“On June 13, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., external power supply to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was restored. The plant’s internal needs are being met via a 330 kV overhead power line,” the statement reads.
The company emphasized that this was the 19th blackout at the plant since its occupation by Russian troops and the seventh since the beginning of 2026.
"Energoatom stresses that every loss of external power supply poses serious risks to the nuclear and radiation safety of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant. Only the return of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to the control of Ukraine and its legitimate operator can guarantee the safe operation of the facility and eliminate threats to Ukraine, Europe, and the world," the statement notes.
