​Two fishermen were injured, one seriously, after a cooking gas cylinder exploded on a traditional country boat on the Feroke river.The incident occurred on Friday night (June 12) near the old Feroke bridge, according to the police.The Feroke police said that the blast happened when the two fishermen attempted to light a stove after opening the valve of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder inside the vessel. The cylinder reportedly exploded shortly afterwards.​Both are currently undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. The police said that K. Sunil, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, remains in critical condition, having sustained more than 50% burns. The other injured, R. Sabari, is reported to have suffered comparatively minor injuries.
