The cast including Vicky McClure, who plays Kate Fleming, have been filming in Northern Ireland after a five-year hiatus.‌According to local reports, Martin, who has become a fan favourite playing Steve Arnott, was hit by an Airsoft gun and was immediately seen by medics on set. He was able to resume filming a soon after.‌An Airsoft gun is used to mimic a real gun to viewers in film and TV shows. It does not fire real bullets or blanks.‌This comes after Line of Duty showrunner Jed Mercurio posted a picture of the cast, confirming filming of the upcoming series was underway.He shared a picture of both Martin and Vicky with their backs to the camera. He captioned the post saying: "AC-12 in the house."‌Another picture posted to whip fans into a frenzy was of Adrian Dunbar, who plays Ted Hastings. And although Adrian also had his back to the camera, he was seen wearing his identifiable uniform, with TV cameras in the background.Jed captioned that post with the infamous line from the show: "There’s one thing I’m interested in and one thing only and that’s bent coppers."And on Vicky's personal Instagram account, she shared a smiling snap of herself alongside the cast and showrunner Jed. She captioned it saying: "Line of Duty S7 readthrough."‌The BBC also added to the momentum of excitement by sharing a picture of the main cast members and wrote: "Now we’re sucking diesel! It’s back to work for this lot at the #LineOfDuty Series 7 read-through."However, Vicky teased fans even further as she posted a video of the trio and asked fans if they wanted to have " a look" at the long-awaited script.She said in the brief clip: "Hello everybody! We're back. Here's the script. Want a look?" She is then seen flicking through the script before jokingly saying "nah."‌BBC iPlayer was far more risk averse just in case eagle-eyed fans caught a peek of the script as they covered it with an emoji when posting it on their website.New stars are set to join the cast including acclaimed actor Robert Carlyle , who plays Specialist Rifle Officer DC Shaun Massie. Other stars set to join the cast also include: "Laura Aikman, Levi Brown and Amy Leigh Hickman.Owen Teale is set to resume his role as Chief Constable Philip Osbourne.Article continues belowThe BBC started to tease clips of the new series back in March after sharing a picture of the stars on its website.
