A top-level management meeting for heads of higher educational institutions was organised by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII-TN), under the State Department of MSME, as part of the Tamil Nadu Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TNYIEDP), at Anna University Regional Campus, Tiruchi, on Friday.Representatives from 53 higher educational institutions, across Tiruchi district, participated in the programme.T. Senthilkumar, Dean, Anna University Regional Campus, Tiruchi, and District Hub Coordinator of TNYIEDP, said that over 200 entrepreneurship and innovation programmes had been conducted through the hub, with efforts focused on creating at least one entrepreneur from every affiliated institution.He pointed to the rapid growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region stating that the number of incubation centres in and around Tiruchi has increased significantly over the years, enabling students to receive mentoring, funding support, and market access for their startup ventures.Tiruchi District Programme Manager Karthikeyan and Vinoth Malaikani, CEO, EDII-Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation, spoke.
