Bafana Bafana midfielder Themba Zwane will miss the next match after his red card against Mexico.
You have to feel for Sphephelo Sithole and Themba Zwane. All they ever wanted to do was represent the nation and repay the faith shown in them by coach Hugo Broos.
But alas, while trying to do just that, they both received red cards in Bafana Bafana’s 2-0 defeat to Mexico at the 2026 Fifa World Cup, meaning they will miss the clash against Czechia in Atlanta next Thursday.
While both should be available for Group A final feature against South Korea on June 25, for Sithole, the red card could all but spell the end of his World Cup and potentially his tenure with Bafana.
Prior to receiving his marching orders for bringing down an attacker as the last man, he had already been Bafana’s weakest player on the pitch.
