Theatre director Steven Stead’s name has been popping up repeatedly across theatres in Cape Town this year.
Since January, he has directed William Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’, ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ musical, the opera ‘Carmen’ and is currently rehearsing the pantomime ‘Puss In Boots’ which opens at the Baxter Theatre later this month.
He then directs the musical ‘Oliver’, part of the festive season line-up at Artscape Theatre.
What makes all of this incredible is the range of genres Stead has been able to successfully direct.
