Skip to contentThe Lenovo AI Host is a mini PC that measures 100 x 100 x 48mm and (3.94″ x 3.93″ x 1.89″). What makes it unusual for a Lenovo device is that instead of an Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processor under the hood, this little computer has a Cix CD8180 12-core Arm-based processor that delivers up to 45 TOPS of AI performance.Lenovo is positioning the computer as a system suitable for 24/7 operation that can run some AI tasks locally… although with only 8GB of LPDDR5-6000 onboard memory, the Lenovo AI Host isn’t exactly going to offer workstation-class performance. But it’s also a lot cheaper than a system with an NVIDIA RTX Spark or AMD Strix Halo processor. The Lenovo AI Host is available for pre-order in China for 2,999 CNY (about $440).It’s unclear if this model will be sold outside of China anytime soon. My guess is no. But it wouldn’t be the first device with this processor to ship globally if Lenovo does decide to bring it to more markets. The Radxa Orion O6 and Orange Pi 6 Plus use the same CD8180 processor. The chip features:4 x ARM Cortex-A720 CPU cores @ 2.8 GHz4 x ARM Cortex-A720 CPU cores @ 2.4 GHz4 x ARM Cortex-A520 CPU cores @ 1.8 GHzArm Immortalis-G720 MC10 graphics30 TOPS NPUWhile the NPU only delivers part of the promised 45 TOPS of AI processing performance, the GPU and CPU should be able to get you the way there. The mini PC also features a 256GB SSD, and a set of ports that includes:2 x USB Type-C2 x USB 3.2 Type-A2 x USB 2.0 Type-A1 x DisplayPort 1.41 x HDMI 1.41 x 2.5 GbE LANIt appears to ship with Ubuntu and comes with Lenovo’s Tianxi AI Claw AI Assistant software featuring more than 20 pre-installed “skills.”via ITHome
