Ukraine's national postal service Ukrposhta has estimated that losses resulting from the Russian strike on its sorting hub in Kharkiv will exceed UAH 11 million (US$245,000), with more than UAH 1 million (US$22,300) of that amount to be paid out in compensation for destroyed parcels.

Details: Early estimates show that the company's total losses amount to UAH 11.1 million (US$247,000), although the inventory process is still ongoing. Around UAH 10 million (US$223,000) of that figure represents the value of goods sold directly through Ukrposhta branches.
The company has begun paying compensation to customers whose parcels and letters were damaged or destroyed during the Russian attack on the Kharkiv sorting centre on the night of 7-8 June.
