JSC Ukrposhta has temporarily changed its mail processing and delivery scheme following a Russian attack on its Kharkiv logistics hub and will operate under a backup system to ensure uninterrupted deliveries across Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Ukrposhta’s press service.
“Fortunately, none of our employees were injured. We will do everything possible to ensure that customers do not feel the consequences of this attack. Immediately after the strike, we reorganized our logistics routes, and all shipments that were not damaged continue moving toward their recipients. We have also already begun preparing compensation for customers whose parcels were affected by the attack,” Ukrposhta said.
Reserve facilities in another city have been activated to process shipments for the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Some long-haul trucks that had been heading to Kharkiv were redirected to other sorting centers as early as 3:00, where a separate sorting procedure has been established for these destinations.
Two daily delivery runs to Kharkiv have already been organized. The first convoy has departed, and the second is being prepared for dispatch to ensure that undamaged shipments reach customers as quickly as possible, with delivery expected by this evening.
