The Metropolitan Police has announced it will resume arresting protesters for holding signs in support of banned group Palestine Action.
The force paused doing so in February after the High Court ruled that the Government’s ban of the group was unlawful.
But because the appeal against the ruling is likely to take several months, the Met said that “means it is still a criminal offence to support Palestine Action.”

Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman said: “We must enforce the law as it is at the time, not as it might be at a future date. We must do that consistently and without fear or favour.”
