Argentina captain, Lionel Messi
French forward Ousmane Dembélé has described Lionel Messi as the best player he has ever seen, praising the Argentine superstar’s enduring quality despite approaching the latter stages of his career.
Speaking to Marca on Friday, Dembélé highlighted Messi’s remarkable ability to remain decisive at the highest level of football, insisting that age has done little to diminish his impact on the game.
“Lionel Messi is the best player I’ve ever seen,” Dembélé said. “He’s 38 but he’s still fantastic and dangerous. His quality never gets old,” he said.
The Paris Saint-Germain winger, who spent several years alongside Messi at both Barcelona and PSG, warned opponents not to underestimate the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.
