The Swarga Foundation recently launched in Coimbatore four initiatives to promote accessibility, inclusion and independent living for differently abled persons.A release from the foundation said the initiatives include ‘Sarathi’, a fleet of five wheelchair and senior citizen-friendly cabs equipped with ramps for operation across Tamil Nadu; ‘Swag Cafe’, a cafe to be managed by persons with disabilities along with Coimbatore Corporation conservancy workers; ‘Samarth’, a programme for the donation of wheelchairs; and ‘Sugamya’, under which patented cabin-friendly wheelchairs and ramps will be donated to all railway stations in Coimbatore.The initiatives were inaugurated by Minister for Backward Classes V.
