Amanda Holden, who shares daughters Lexi and Hollie with her husband, Chris Hughes, left her Heart Breakfast colleague "red in the face" after announcing a decision that won't go down well with her youngest child14:04, 12 Jun 2026Amanda Holden has left her Heart Breakfast producer "red in the face" after vowing to "wipe everything" from her daughter's phone. She made the remarks during an on-air chat with co-star Jamie Theakston about children’s social media use, and suggested she's no fan of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.‌Speaking on today’s instalment (June 12), Jamie mentioned Starmer's reported plans to impose a curfew on 16 and 17-year-olds using social media apps late at night, which Jamie said could be announced "as early as next Monday".‌Amanda, who shares daughters Lexi and Hollie with her husband Chris Hughes, said she backed the idea but felt "cynical" about the Prime Minister’s motives and had "no idea" how it could be enforced.‌The Britain’s Got Talent judge said: "I mean, raising the age is something that I think every single person in this country is for. I don't know why Keir Starmer's taking so much time."I'm going to be very cynical and say he's doing it just cos he needs some sort of boost to his leadership. And if that's...if he's using it for that, then good luck, but we should still kick him out."‌Jamie theorised that one of the key issues with the idea is how "easy" it is to bypass age verifications on social media platforms. Amanda replied: "I don't know how they're going to legislate it. I've no idea. I have no idea."All I know is I'm wiping...I'm wiping everything on my daughter's phone. She has private accounts, but it's all going. She's gonna hate me, but I don't care."Amanda added: "I know. I'm really ballsy about it because I... Keir Starmer and all that lot are getting on my nerves about it", as she switched gears and started moving on with the show.‌As she continued, however, she spotted something in the studio. "Oh, my producer's gone very red in the face. Sorry, I forgot it wasn't LBC; it's Heart Breakfast", Amanda added, slightly backtracking on her political rant.Earlier this week, Amanda made an admission about her marriage live on air, sparking disbelief from Jamie. In a previous broadcast, the media personality asked him what he thought was the secret to a happy marriage.‌Amanda then referred to research that highlighted the importance of kissing at least 10 times a week. She said: "Which I think is quite low in seven days, even by my standards and my husband, who nags me all the time, would say you do that in a day, 10 kisses, probably."Jamie replied: "You kiss your husband 10 times a day?"Article continues belowLaughing, she replied: "I would say so. Even if I gave him a Glaswegian one. Everyone in Scotland would know what that is. But yeah we do, we have a good old snog. "Jamie said he didn't believe her, but she responded: "What do you mean? I think that's the easiest thing to get out the way in a marriage."
