As photographs documenting a life filled with service, leadership and friendship played across large screens, the Parklands College community gathered to celebrate the life of head boy Connor Niske, a teenager remembered for his kindness, humility and unwavering commitment to helping others.
The memorial service comes days after the passing of the 17-year-old learner.
According to police spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana, SAPS has registered an inquest docket following an incident at a medical facility on Sunday, June 7.
"Police reports state that when the members attended to the complaint they found a body of a 17-year-old male victim who had passed on upon his arrival at the nearby hospital due to the bullet wound sustained on his head," Mpendukana said.
