Springbok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk during their training session in Johannesburg this past week. De Klerk is excited to be back in the Bok mix ahead of the 2026 Test season.
Veteran Springbok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk is determined to prove that he still belongs at international level should the world champions call on him during the upcoming season.
After an extended absence from the Springbok set-up, the double Rugby World Cup winner has earned a recall to Rassie Erasmus' squad and is eager to make the most of the opportunity. Having recently signed for the Cheetahs, De Klerk is focused on settling back into South African rugby while continuing his pursuit of international honours.
The 34-year-old said his immediate priority is to establish himself at the Free State outfit, but he remains driven to force his way back into regular Springbok contention.
“It was an amazing feeling getting that call-up again,” De Klerk said about rejoining the Boks.
