The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, C Joseph Vijay, offers prayer at Sri Mookambika Devi Temple in Kollur of Udupi district.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, C Joseph Vijay, visited Sri Mookambika Devi Temple at Kollur in the Udupi district of Karnataka on Friday.The temple management committee offered him a ‘Poorna Kumabha Kalasha’ welcome on his arrival at the temple in the afternoon. He was in the temple for about 20 minutes, during which he offered a special pooja to the Goddess Mookambika.He presented a silver sword as an offering to the Goddess Mokambika on the occasion.Tight security arrangements were put in place in Kollur during his visit to the temple town. He was greeted by other devotees on his arrival in the town.Earlier in the day, Vijay landed at Mangaluru International Airport after travelling on a special flight from New Delhi.In the past, late MG Ramachandran and late J Jayalalitha visited the temple during their tenure as the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu.Published on June 12, 2026
