The Democracy Day protest drew members of the Take It Back Movement, the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), lawyers from Falana Chambers, civil society activists, and concerned citizens who gathered to express dissatisfaction with the country's worsening security situation.

Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, aka Falz, on Friday morning, joined scores of protesters at the Ikeja Under Bridge in Lagos State to demand improved security, an end to kidnappings, and greater government accountability.

The Democracy Day protest drew members of the Take It Back Movement, the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), lawyers from Falana Chambers, civil society activists, and concerned citizens who gathered to express dissatisfaction with the country's worsening security situation.

Among prominent figures present at the protest were human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), his wife, activist and lawyer Funmi Falana, SAN, their son and activist Falz, CDHR Lagos State Chairman Comrade Wale Ojo, and activist Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Soweto.

The protesters marched peacefully while displaying placards bearing messages highlighting concerns over insecurity and governance in the country.
