The three most consequential private companies in tech are all heading for the public markets at roughly the same time. SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic are each preparing IPOs with valuations that would have seemed absurd five years ago and now seem almost inevitable.
Together, these three listings could inject close to $3 trillion in market capitalization into public exchanges.
SpaceX leads the charge
Elon Musk’s rocket company filed its confidential S-1 paperwork with the SEC back in April 2026, targeting a Nasdaq listing under the ticker SPCX. The company is aiming for a valuation between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion, which would make it one of the most valuable companies on the planet from day one.
SpaceX expects to raise between $50 billion and $75 billion through the offering.
