Police said the Grade 12 learner was killed in what is believed to be domestic violence-related.

A 24-year-old Limpopo man is expected to appear in court soon following his arrest for the alleged murder of his Grade 12 girlfriend in Ga-Makgoba village.

Police in Sebayeng opened a murder case after the learner was killed on Wednesday, June 10, in an incident believed to be domestic violence-related.

The 24-year-old suspect was arrested after allegedly reporting to a member of the SAPS that he had murdered his girlfriend, who was a Grade 12 learner at a local secondary school.

“It is alleged that at about 8.40pm, the suspect went to the residence of a SAPS member at Titibe Village, Ga-Dikgale, and informed him that he had killed his girlfriend. Police were immediately alerted and responded to the report,” police said.
