TACLOBAN CITY — Local government units across Eastern Visayas marked the country’s 128th Independence Day on Friday, June 12, by paying tribute not only to the nation’s heroes but also to ordinary Filipinos whose daily contributions help build and sustain their communities.
In Tacloban City, the Independence Day celebration coincided with the city’s 74th Charter Day anniversary, giving residents an opportunity to reflect on both the nation’s hard-earned freedom and the city’s continued development.
