In recent weeks, social media has been flooded with videos and posts documenting high school students’ final days at school. What stands out, however, is not only the number of such scenes, but also the sharp contrast between them.
In some schools, students are seen expressing appreciation and gratitude to their teachers, taking commemorative photos, or offering simple gestures that reflect a positive connection to their school community. In others, the scenes are very different: students smashing desks, vandalising property, writing graffiti, or creating as much disruption as possible before leaving.
Ironically, both are presented under the same title: “Celebrating the Last Day.”
