Her comments come amid growing public scrutiny and speculation over the organisation's financial backing and ability to sustain operations across the country.

Asked to identify the business that funded the media briefing, Ngobese-Zuma said the company did not want publicity around its once-off sponsorship.

“They did not want to be identified. They assisted once, and we have not received any more funding from them,” she told IOL.
