March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has strongly denied allegations that the movement receives funding from political parties or businesses, saying its operations are sustained through crowdfunding and merchandise sales. Her comments come amid growing scrutiny of the organisation's finances and speculation about possible links to political parties, claims both March and March and ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba have rejected.

March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has denied claims that the movement is funded by political parties or businesses, amid growing calls for scrutiny of its financial backing.

“Happy to share our bank statements. We are not funded by any political party or business. There was only one media briefing for which we received some assistance for banners and other costs, where a business helped us, but that was it. We sell our branded T-shirts and other products on our social media platforms and do our own crowdfunding via our website,” she told IOL.

Asked to identify the business that funded the media briefing, Ngobese-Zuma said the company did not want publicity around its once-off sponsorship.

“They did not want to be identified. They assisted once, and we have not received any more funding from them,” she said.
