Adam travelled America for the competitive eating series from 2008 until 2012 but the show was regularly repeated in the UK for years to come. A spin-off, Adam Richman Eats Britain, aired in 2024.‌Tonight viewers were introduced to the star, who is hosting alongside fellow American Semra Hunter, an expert in Spanish football. The pair appeared in their own section of ITV's impressive Brooklyn set, away from host Mark Pougatch and pundits Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ian Wright.‌Many poked fun at his inclusion in the line-up, with one viewer writing: "Don't mind Adam Richman being part of ITV's World Cup coverage but they should be making him eat a 9 foot wide pizza while he's there."‌Another wrote: "Give me a Roy Keane reaction cam in the corner whenever they hand to Adam Richman."
