Reports from June 9-10, 2026, indicated that negotiations between Ammouta and Al Ahly had reached roughly 95% agreement, with final discussions taking place in Cairo.
Early media reports had suggested the two sides were working on a two-year contract valued at around $210,000 per month. The final structure landed differently: a single year, with a release clause pegged at three months’ compensation, putting the exit fee at around $300,000.
