Quantum Global Data Center (QGDC), a Pakistani data center operator, is developing a data center project in Karachi.

The company broke ground on its data center earlier this month.

The project is located in the Karachi Technopolis, a proposed science park in the city that is currently applying for tax exemptions from the Special Technology Zones Authority, a Pakistani government body.

The data center’s capacity is unclear. QGDC’s site states that the facility will be 100MW, but according to the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation, which has a site about the Karachi Technopolis, the data center will offer 80MW of capacity.
