Sowore's comments came after the privately operated aircraft landed on a concrete roadway in the Ogwashi-Uku area near Asaba, Delta State, triggering widespread reactions and speculation.

Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has cast doubt on the widely circulated incident of a private jet that landed and took off from a newly constructed concrete road in Delta State, describing the incident as suspicious and potentially staged.

Reacting to the development in a post on X, Sowore said the circumstances surrounding the aircraft's landing and dramatic takeoff raised more questions than answers.

According to him, “There is something fishy about the reported 'landing' and dramatic takeoff of this private jet on a concrete road in Delta State.

“The entire episode appears unusually staged. Was it a carefully choreographed publicity stunt designed to promote the road and score political points for the Tinubu administration, or was it being used as a convenient drop-off point for another operation?”
