A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her live-in partner in Anna Nagar East after a dispute over an alleged extramarital affair.A senior police official said that Shanthi, a divorcee, had been living with her partner N. Rajendran at Annai Sathya Nagar in Anna Nagar East for the past few years.On Wednesday (June 10, 2026) night, the couple allegedly quarrelled after Shanthi accused Rajendran of being involved with another woman. In the early hours of Thursday (June 11), an enraged Rajendran allegedly stabbed Shanthi to death with a kitchen knife.Following the incident, Rajendran walked into the Anna Nagar police station and surrendered. Based on information provided by him, police recovered Shanthi’s body and sent it to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is under way.
