ALBAWABA - US and Iran exchange strikes across the Middle East as the shaky ceasefire continues to disintegrate with each rocket and bomb; the war, it seems, is officially back on.This morning, Jordan was hit with 20 Iranian ballistic missiles targeting the Muwaffaq Salti air base in Al-Azraq; this was following earlier Iranian strikes on Bahrain and Kuwait. The war restarted after Trump said that Iran “took too long to negotiate a deal” and that they would “pay the price”, ordering a wave of strikes in southern Iran targeting military, surveillance and radar sites in the area; prior to this statement he had said that he was “very close” to a deal with Iran. Not long after came the Iranian response with the IRGC saying it had destroyed “a large number” of US fighter jets and facilities after firing 20 ballistic missiles at the Muwaffaq Salti Airbase in Jordan, while Bahrain said its air raid sirens were activated overnight, and Kuwait's Army posted on X that its anti-air defence systems intercepted “hostile aerial targets,” saying it had temporarily closed its airspace due to the Iranian attacks.Continuing the hostilities, the IRGC said it closed the Strait of Hormuz to “to all type of vessel” before striking two oil tankers passing through the strait. The US, on its part, is preparing the next wave of its attacks on Iran with Trump warning: “We hit them hard yesterday and we're going to hit them hard again today.” stating that Iran would be attacked again if no peace deal was secured.
