Jun 11, 2026 – 5.00amA Canberra medical robotics start-up that promises to take the pain and horror of needles out of going to the dentist has been valued at $265 million after signing a partnership with one of the biggest dental product producers in the world.Dentroid was founded in Canberra nine years ago by dentist Omar Zuaiter and robotics engineer Alaa Habeb with the goal of removing needles from basic dental treatments. A robotics start-up which removes needles from dentistry has raised more than $32 million and inked a partnership with French product manufacturer Septodont.
