RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in a strategic dialogue ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada in Manama on Wednesday.
The meeting reviewed relations between GCC countries and Canada, ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation, and joint coordination on issues of common interest, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The meeting also discussed the latest regional and international developments, views on current events, and their repercussions on the region’s security and stability.
Participants emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to protect maritime routes and ensure freedom of international navigation, which would safeguard shared interests and strengthen regional and international stability, SPA added.
The meeting also discussed Iranian attacks on several countries in the region, most recently Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
