Delft residents in Leiden took to the streets vandalising vehicles and stoning Golden Arrow buses in protest on Tuesday, claiming the community has been without electricity for months.

Following previous protest actions in recent week, residents went out in their numbers to Delft Main Road, causing havoc for motorists at around 5pm.

Residents pelted stones at the vehicles, including the buses with passengers inside.

John Dammert, Corporate Affairs and HR Executive for the Golden Arrow Bus Services confirmed that three buses were targeted but thankfully no injuries were reported.

“We can confirm that there was protest action. Three buses were stoned. No injuries were reported,” Dammert said.
